Lists of Hundreds and Poor law Unions are included in the topography of the County: it is stated undeer each Parish in what Division of the County it is situated; also the Hundred, Union and County Court District, as well as the Diocese, Archdeaconry and Rural Deanery, within the Dioceses of Exeter and of truro; and the College and University of every Beneficed Clergyman have been given, as far as they can be ascertained; the Post Office Savings Bank and Telegraph Offices, Annuity and Insurance Offices have been noticed; the names of the Parish Clerks are given under each parish; lists of Farm bailiffs of Gentlemen farming their own land have been added.

The County Councils have been inserted; and the populations for 1891 are duly recorded.
